The inception of NeuroPawn by Abdallah, a neuroscience graduate. He wanted to explore his field but couldn't because of the exorbitant price tags

Abdallah creates the first prototype of the Knight Board, but it was unsuccessful.

Knight Board V2 is made, and this time it actually works! However, there are still some glaring problems involving cost.

Abdallah spends months researching, eventually designing prototype V3, with cost and accuracy gains leaps ahead of what he had.

Kevin, and Stanly join as co-founders and develop the NeuroPawn headset. Abdallah continues improving the PCB design

The latest and greatest NeuroPawn Knight Board, an unparalleled neurotechnology tool, is completed.

Abdallah Alwan

I am beyond passionate about neuroscience and was frustrated that I couldn't explore it because of how costly the equipment was. I'm not a stranger to challenges so I set out to create a solution for myself, and students in the same position. In my free time, I workout, cook, and constantly learn about the latest and greatest neurotech!

Let us be a pawn in your journey to neurotech!

Stanly Jiang

During my mechanical engineering degree, I wanted to explore BCI's so I bought the cheapest EEG I could find. It was a terrible experience, and I believed I could improve on it massively, without breaking the bank. I joined NeuroPawn in 2024, because our goals of making affordable, and reliable neurotech aligned. In my free time, I like to workout, listen to business podcasts, and play the stock market.

I am a biomedical engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I have a deep rooted passion for neurotech which is why I joined the student group, WATOLINK. However, I could only explore BCI's when I was physically at their headquarters, because we only had 3 headsets to share amongst 35 students. The cost of these headsets is what drove me to join NeuroPawn, to help them achieve their goal of affordability. In my free time I like to workout, socialize, and play badminton.

NeuroPawn is a movement, and education is at our forefront.

We wouldn't make a product we wouldn't use.
