FocusFarm
A neurofeedback game built with the NeuroPawn Biopotential Kit to help users improve concentration.
How It Works
The project used EEG signals to measure alpha-band activity between 8–12 Hz. After collecting a baseline recording, the system compared real-time EEG data against that baseline using a z-score method to generate a “focus score.” As the user’s focus score increased, the virtual plants in the game grew.
Why It Matters
FocusFarm is a great example of how EEG can be used beyond traditional research settings. By combining signal processing, real-time feedback, and game design, the team created an interactive tool that makes brain activity easier to understand and engage with.
